Back at China Beach in 1969, everyone is eagerly awaiting the moon landing that's about to occur. But their excitement turns sour when Boonie's leg is trapped under a turned over truck and a rising flood threatens to drown him. McMurphy simmers jealously as Dr. Richard falls for a new nurse.
